The MeacoDry Arete One dehumidifier's build quality feels solid and durable, and its curved body is a clever touch that makes the appliance look smaller than its H47 x W32 x D24cm measurements. The 12L modeal also fits a generous 2.5 litre water tank into its compact build.

Plus, the MeacoDry Arete One also offers a built-in air purification function, so you don't need to waste energy having two appliances running at once. And at just 115W, the MeacoDry Arete One 12L dehumidifier is also very energy efficient compared to most compressor dehumidifiers. The water extraction rate will depend on the temperature and relative humidity. At 10ºC and 60% relative humidity, the dehumidifier can remove 3.4 litres per day; at 20ºC and 60%, it can manage 8.5 litres per day. The end result is our quietest, most energy efficient dehumidifier range yet, with a host of special features to make living with Arete a pleasure.And there’s a simple but clever solution for pouring out the water. With Arete there are two spouts: one to the left and one to the right. So you can pour the water away without having to juggle or twist the tank.

The Meaco Arete One is a pretty powerful machine and it’s very quiet - plus it's Quiet Mark Certified - but it does hum. If we put it on a loose floorboard it gives off a low vibrating sound, but that’s probably more due to loose floorboards than the Meaco. We sleep in the room next door, and when the spare room door is closed you can’t hear it. Beyond that, this dehumidifier is very easy to use, the controls are all really well laid out, and there’s not too much to get your head around when it comes to operating it. The buttons that you use most often are larger; the buttons that you hardly ever use are small.
