About this deal

The craze is sky-high even still to this day, but once this dies down a little I would drink this one after a session at the gym or after playing sports to hydrate me. Speaking on his own flavour, KSI said: "I've got a new flavour coming out, one of my very own. I already know - because it's limited edition as well - that it's going to go mad. I think people are just going to want to keep the bottle as well." Sainsbury's have enforced a maximum of three drinks per customer rule to try and ensure that things remain fair and there is a chance for more people to get their hands on the beverage. When I first opened the bottle it smelt very fruity - orange, mango, pineapple came to my mind. And I was completely surprised when I tried it. While we were there we decided to try it out to see what all the fuss is about. This must come with a disclaimer that I have not tried the other flavours of Prime and have had no desire to do so. Sainsbury’s is the latest big retailer to add the KSI and Logan Paul drinks to its shelves, following the likes of Asda, Aldi and Costco.

First up is Prime's Lemon and Lime flavoured drink. As soon as I opened the bottle, things were not pretty as I looked into the bottle to see a clouded bottle of what looked like flat lemonade. Each PRIME drink comes full of vitamins and is made with 10% coconut water to aid hydration and wellbeing. With both KSI and Logan Paul having their athletic endeavours, they understand the importance of recovery and staying hydrated, which is why each bottle of PRIME includes BCAA for muscle recovery, electrolytes, B vitamins and antioxidants to keep customers fresh and alert. Across the range of PRIME Hydration you’ll find fruity flavours that will suit everybody’s taste. For those who do not know, Prime is a hydration drink with sweeteners in an effort to "fill the void" to offer good taste as well as function. Many young people have been battling it out among parents to get their hands on the drink. This was a pleasant surprise, but the flavour too offered a double whammy of goodness. When I took a sip, it offered a sweet fruity sensation of sharpness and definitely impressed with a tropical tang with hints of orange, mango, passion fruit and pineapple. What Prime Hydration is - the KSI's influencer drink Asda keeps selling out of and children queue at sunrise This was my favourite of the Prime drinks so far. There was a lot of flavour from it. You could definitely taste the orange and mango, but I also got hints of perhaps passion fruit and pineapple. The drink that has grasped millions across the world from the YouTubers has been selling out everywhere while the pair have constantly been in the news across the country due to their popular drink for the last year. We have all seen those videos of mayhem striking in supermarkets as people rush to try and get their hands on the drink that seems like gold dust to everyone.

For the older generation, they simply do not get the trend or understand why there is such hype, but the social media generation and teenagers see it as a norm, and it is this way of thinking that has led to the absolute craze of the drinks. It’s a great taste but it tastes very familiar and instantly makes the limited edition status feel less limited knowing there’s another brand you could just nip out and buy that doesn’t have the popularity or star appeal as this particular drink. Now came for the all important taste-test. It was only last week I sampled the Lemon and Lime and didn't think too much of it. Where as Blue Raspberry and Tropical Punch tasted much nicer in my opinion. Comparing this more recent bottle, it definitely performed better than the original flavour of the Lemon and Lime. When I opened the bottle, it gave a tantalising aroma of very exotic fruits such as orange, grapefruit, passionfruit mango, pitaya and pineapple.Tesco, Iceland, Sainsbury's and Waitrose safety warnings as items including cheese and Quorn pulled from shelves The drinks definitely energised me - without being an energy drink - and I was able to feel revitalised from tiredness, in a similar way to sport drinks. The entertainers have definitely taken the sports drinks market by storm and - due to their drinks always being talked - it is hard to see when they will stop. The drink has seen massive popularity due to Paul and KSI promoting it heavily, particularly around celebrity boxing events. They came up for the idea for the company after their own bout in 2019. It also gets a lot of attention on TikTok.

If you aren't a fan of a sweet flavoured drink, this probably isn't for you. But I was a huge fan. It reminded me of the juicy spring water brand Drench - their tropical flavour tastes very similar to it. If you don't like sweet drinks, you will not love this one. However, I did enjoy it but it is nothing like I have ever tried before. The price makes me reluctant to say I love it, but it is good. Those who want to give it a try should do as soon as possible as it is only around for a limited amount of time Social media personalities KSI and Logan Paul have been dominating the sports drinks scene since their launch of Prime Hydration, and they seem to be continuing their acceleration worldwide. In February this year, it was announced that several supermarkets including, ASDA, Aldi, Costco, Sainsbury's and more across the UK would be selling the viral drink to customers. So out I walked with three bottles (one for me to try - and one each for my two stepsons who would never forgive me if I tried it without telling them). Success. For months now, video sharing platform has seen clips of people selling the drinks going viral, in particular the account 'Wakey Wines', where the owner of a convenience store in Wakefield blew up on TikTok for making videos where he would simply film himself with customers who bought the drink and repeat catchlines that have simply become a trend. A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “We know our customers actively seek the latest in product innovation. We are excited to be launching the following Prime Hydration products in store from Tuesday 21 February:

Prime Hydration already comes in seven different flavours - Meta Moon, Ice Pop, Orange, Blue Raspberry, Tropical Punch, Lemon Lime and Grape. Each serving is between 20 to 25 calories and claims to be comprised of 10 percent coconut water, with added electrolytes, BCAAs (Branched-chain amino acid), B vitamins and antioxidants, but is caffeine free. With a tasty hit of fruity freshness, PRIME Tropical Punch is perfect for fans of exotic fruits and adds a unique take on a classic flavour to any drinks range. Add the bright red bottles to your store and add depth to your selection of these much hyped and fashionable wholesale drinks. Now for the one I have been really looking forward to - Prime Hydration's KSI Orange and Mango flavour. I was going into both drinks with high expectations, but the fact that this is KSI's own flavour, with his name attached, meant that I was looking for an impeccable drink. I'll begin with a little story if you'll indulge me, to set the scene the year is around 2002 and little Greg is as impressionable as they come. Me and two friends decided to head out on an expedition across a few fields to the next village over in South Yorkshire. The drink could be of great help to your post-workout hydration scheme, as it contains numerous electrolytes as well as BCAAs, which can help you recover. But it should not be consumed daily, due to its artificial sweetening, as it is not an energy drink.
